“I delve into stories that inspire me—from the details behind my soap, scrubs, butters and candles, to the facets of scents, and the people that inspire me.”

~ Rabiah, Maker

Hi! I’m Rabiah (Ra-BEE-yah) the owner and maker at “Honey & Butter Bath Collective.”

My shop offers small batches of beautifully handcrafted soap, lucious whipped body butters, sweet sugar and honey body polishes and fun bath bombs. Newly added to my collective are scent provoking hand poured candles, wax melts/tarts and room spritzers. Nothing beats a “one of a kind” gift from a small shop!

All of my items are made with the highest quality of ingredients. All made in small batches and packed by me. My handmade soap is pure soap that cleanses thoroughly and gently. No harsh detergents, synthetic fragrances or ingredients. I add a touch of “sweetness' with Honey and Sugars to most of my items(not that you will taste it) it adds luscious bubbles to my bars and a wonderful richness to my butters and Scrubs. I have been a practicing, Licensed Esthetician for over 13 years; I love skin and the pureness of my products.  I give my gratitude and humble thanks to you for your support in my business. Peace, Love & Honey!

I also offer beautiful vessels designed and crafted by my own hands.. Made from a mix of recycled craftsman cement dust and natural earth pigments; you will find there are no two that are alike!. Once the vessels are cured from a non-toxic sealer, I hand pour them with a natural soy-beeswax blend and scented a signature blend of fragrance oils..

How it all began...

Amidst the grind of a nine to five job in 2011, I impulsively resolved to return to school and immerse myself in the study of 'skin', driven by my own  battle with adult acne.

...I became an Esthetician!

The magic didn't start there, I pushed on and took on another gig in my already busy schedule: doing lashes and facials.

I was devastated!

Fast forward ten years...When the pandemic hit, it hit me hard. I had lost BOTH jobs! In a blink of an eye...Now what?

Hmmm...Well, I do have years of formulating skin care under my belt and being a former cake decorator (that's another story); I had to come up with something.

That's it! Cold processed soap! I had been dabbling and making my own soap because the "crap" at the store kept me ashy, dry-skinned, scentless, and full of bad attitude. I’m totally obsessed with making it! It’s something about the transformation of oils to soap that makes me feel like a scientist.

Eventually inspiration took over. Those of you who know me, know that I love creating things I enjoy. If I taste something I love at a restaurant, expect to be served my personal rendition of it, next time you visit me.

The struggle was real!

The soap - a huge hit! The problem was, the bars I make normally last 3 to 6 weeks with normal use. And many seemed to want to keep my soap as decoration instead of actually using it, Uh, okay. How much soap could I sell with it lasting so long? I began to think of other things I love and personally need in my daily care that I just couldn't find, like the moisturizers that are either too thin, too thick, too flowery, have too many chemicals, or have you smelling like a wall plug-in. If I couldn’t find my moisturizers, therefore, I had to create my own. I wanted something that reflected me and my values: something that was light, natural, and with 'grown' scents. I wanted to use rich oils, create intoxicating fragrances with pure ingredients. I then realized that my homemade scented shea butter was something special.

Word Got Out.

In my personal quest to remain ash-less, I had not considered how many other women were starved for easy and effective skin hydration. Like my soap, my butters, scrubs and body oils are strictly made with quality ingredients. Like any woman who knows her worth, I expect nothing but the best for myself.

I shared my first batch with a few friends and family who, not surprisingly, shared it with a few of their friends and family. It wasn’t long before requests started pouring in! To my surprise, the demand came from beyond my circle.

Honey and Butter to the Rescue!

It is, therefore, of the utmost importance to me that I excel even beyond my other skills when making skin products for you.

I create from a place of expected excellence by pouring my very essence, my soul, in each of these jars and containers. My mission is for even the most fragile of skin types to absorb these items with soothing results. And also have the kind of scents that force strangers to pay compliments. You know your girl can’t let you step out of the house ashy!

The Leap of Faith

When I started Honey and Butter Bath Collective, I didn’t know what to expect. I was quite nervous actually. I worried what if no one would like what I create. Boy was I wrong. In the past two years, I have built a skincare, bath and candle brand (yes candles, let's scent your space too) from the ground up, facing challenges along the way that would have made most people quit. But instead of giving up, I found ways to persevere despite them. I am an entrepreneur because I believe in the power of hard work and dedication. I source, create, produce, and package each and every item myself. I established the Honey & Butter Bath Collective brand in 2022 in response to a need. With more than 13 years of providing professional skincare services; I am dedicated to finding the best ingredients available to ensure my products reflect the level of excellence I uphold daily. My products are specifically designed with you and your daily ritual in mind: for you to practice being good to yourself, daily.
